Sepsi e SIRS: un focus sull'ecocardiografia in ambito clinico

Abstract

La presente revisione narrativa mira a concentrarsi sul processo diagnostico in caso di pazienti con SIRS (sindrome da risposta infiammatoria sistemica) o sepsi che confermano o escludono la diagnosi concomitante di endocardite infettiva. Ci siamo concentrati sulle indicazioni adeguate per l'ecocardiografia transtoracica e transesofagea nei pazienti SIRS / settici, rivedendo la letteratura scientifica e le linee guida internazionali aggiornate sugli argomenti. Suggeriamo uno strumento di diagramma di flusso per assistere durante il processo diagnostico dell'endocardite infettiva, incluso un uso adeguato dell'ecocardiografia.
