Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to implement a series of alerts that are issued worldwide, starting in 2011 regarding the potential dangers associated with electromedical equipment, specifically their alarm system.
The topic is of particular interest worldwide, but still almost unexplored in the Italian context. Only a few companies, which have been affected by adverse events related to electromedical equipment, have implemented a safety system, but there are still no official guidelines at Italian level.
Unfortunately, only after some adverse events has this issue been addressed, which instead is already a known problem, and preventable with the implementation of a corporate alarm management system.
