Gender Dysphoria a topic to understand

Abstract
This paper examines Gender Dysphoria, in which gender identity does not correspond to the sex assigned at birth. In the major contemporary classifications of mental disorders, Gender Dysphoria appears, but not transexualism which is its consequence. For about half a century, the attention of neo-Jungian and neo-Freudian psychoanalysts has focused on Gender Dysphoria and transsexualism, with often alternative and contrasting visions. The blocking of puberty and the possible surgical intervention seem to act out the intrapsychic conflict. Often after similar endocrinological or surgical interventions, Gender Dysphoria can be attenuated but is not abolished. This paper examines some of the most significant contributions in literature.
