Abstract

The WHO, member states, and partners are collaborating to identify and implement priority actions to strengthen national, regional, and global preparedness for pandemics and emerging threats of infectious diseases. However, remembering the lessons learned from previous epidemics and pandemics, it becomes crucial to also develop local-level changes that enable the realization of new organizational models. These models should help avoid the shortcomings observed in previous health emergencies and establish proactive measures to prevent future pandemics, ensuring healthcare assistance for all those in need.
