The Italian Journal of prevention Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine (IJPDTM) is the official journal of SIMEDET (Italian Society of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine).
Every Article have a specific DOI.
ISSN 2704-6222 - issues are published quarterly.
IJPDTM is online, eletronic-only, open access and peer reviewed scientific journal.

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.The journal does not require article processing charges or any other author fees. No embargo period. No registration is required.

This journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

This journal does not apply charge for publication to Authors as it is fully supported by institutional funds (SIMEDET - Società Italiana di Medicina Diagnostica e terapeutica).

Peer review is applied to all research articles and the majority of other article types published in our journals. This usually entails at least two independent, expert peer reviewers.
All submissions to journal are first checked for completeness (criteria for desk reject are available in the Guide for Authors) before being sent to an Editor, who decides whether they are suitable for peer review. If an Editor is on the author list or has a competing interest in a particular manuscript, another member of the Editorial Board will be assigned to oversee peer review. When making a decision, Editors will consider the peer-reviewed reports, but they will not be bound by the opinions or recommendations contained in them. A single peer reviewer's or the Editor's concern may result in the manuscript being rejected. Peer review reports are sent to authors along with the editorial decision on their manuscript.

IJPDTM uses the following type of peer review:
double-blind review process, in which the author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.

IJPDTM expects the highest ethical standards from their authors, reviewers and editors when conducting research, submitting papers and throughout the peer-review process.
IJPDTM adrresses to every kind of healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, laboratory technicians, etc…) and multidisciplinary approach and collaboration is the exclusive cornerstone of the scientific society.

JPDTM has the aim to promote research and scientific updates implying a multidisciplinary approach involving all different kinds of healthcare professionals working together (physicians, nurses, technicians, etc…) in order to grant a concrete wide, olistic, perspective in medical knowledge.
